I apologize, but I was disappointed in Once Upon a Campus. I thought it was a book, but it was little more than a glorified advertisement. Karen is the most popular author today. Surely, she needed dip to such tactics that frustrate her readers. Also, it seemed rushed. It just didn't have the Kingsbury flow--attempts, yes but never full success. She has an amazing talent as a novel writer. I pray her managers can see clear to let her do what she does best.Product details

Great story, but would have loved it to be longer and have the story continue. Love Karen Kingsbury! She's my favorite author. She really knows how to paint a picture with her words.
I loved the story what there was of it. I am wondering if the version I read is just a part of a more complete book. I am not sure I cared for an ending there when it could have went way beyoond.
What a delightful story about a basketball star not knowing which college to put his talent at. He visit liberty and knew God wanted him there. Every college student should read this inspiring story.

Reading this book felt so good. Karen's saga of the Baxter family's friends continues with a visit to Liberty University. I can't wait for the story to continue!
The story is good (hopefully she will finish the series soon).
However I will knock it down a star. What you buy with this is a promo for Liberty University. Ms. Kingsbury does teach there as an adjunct professor and all five of her sons either attend or graduated from there. But some people will have a problem spending money to buy a promo (especially since I can go to YouTube and find promos for free).
I love Liberty University! Several of our young people have attended there. This was a great story that told how special LU is. Years ago they had a program called "Raising Young Timothy's. I was honored to contribute to this amazing program. That was over 30 years ago. What a blessing to see how much the university has grown. Thank you Karen for shedding light on this great school.
Once again, Karen Kingsbury presents a book about real life and teaches us how to view and live through the situations we face. College age kids should read this book along with their Mothers and Dads! With sons in college herself, Karen presents life on campus and the things young people deal with on campus. Insight into the student world.
