Kitty and Kane work together on a Late Night DIY Show. When I started reading about Kane I instantly pictured Ty Pennington from TLC's Home Improvement Show, though more bulked up.

Kitty and Kane have had some underlying feelings brewing for awhile. Neither one of them is willing to act on that attraction as they don't want to ruin their current working relationship and friendship.

Kitty has just attended her cousin, Jess's funeral and returns home with a bucket list that her cousin is challenging her to complete. Her cousin is trying to get her to 'live', to open up more to life. Kitty doesn't want to do it on her own and plays the quilty card to get Kane to help her. Though there are some items on his bucket list he does not want to help with. He is beyond her biggest supporter. He pushes her when she needs to be pushed and comforts her when she's having a rough time. He also is her protector. It was interesting when he would step into the protector roll.

The banter these two have just pulls you into the story more. There were times I was laughing out loud as I read along. They are just awesome. The more time they spend together the more the lines blur. It doesn't take long for Kitty to realize she knows just what to do to get Kane to give in.

Probably one of the best parts in the book is Kane's reaction to his brother, Kiel's button pushing. He has know idea of the depth of his feeling for Kitty until then.

It is just unbelieveable that this book was written by two authors. The story flowed seamlessly. I can't wait for Kiel's story in the next book.

Nailed Down is sexy and charming friends to lovers romance. This is the first book in the Nailed Down Series. It centers around Kit and Kane, who are best friends and co-workers. They work on renovating homes on a local TV show / reality show. Kit and Kane are sometimes recognized while away from the set.

Kit recently loses her cousin. While struggling with the loss, Kit is given a letter that was from her cousin. The letter is a list / bucket list for Kit to complete. Her cousin Jess told Kit that it was time to live and that life was a journey. Kit knew that she needed help to complete the items on the list, so she went to Kane to ask for help. Kit told him that she needed him. Yum.

Kane and Kit both have feels for the other, but have not admitted it to the other person. Kane is a tough on the outside, but sweet and kind on the inside type of guy. He is willing to help Kit with the list, but Kane wants to stay away from some items on there. At the same time, Kane doesn't want anyone else to help Kit with the list. He is very protective of Kit.

The chemistry and sexual tension between Kane and Kit is scorching hot, but also sweet at times. I love the banter between these two. Some of my favorite lines were "Read it. Stop being a punk." "Step up, drama queen." There were many times that I laughed out loud over Kit and Kane's bantering back and forth. I adored when Kit and Kane danced and kissed. Kane was protective and sexy, sweet all in one. Kit and Kane were each other's best friend, supporter, motivator and lover. They pushed and encouraged the other. I think that is a very powerful and wonderful idea/theme in any book. Nailed Down is a wonderfully written romance with appealing characters, an unique storyline and a friends to lovers romance that everyone will fall in love with. I highly recommend this incredible story.

Kit and Kane are the perfect best friends to lovers story and the way they together makes it all the better. Their banter back and forth is sweet, and perfect. They have a love for each other that has been simmering for a while but neither wants to be the first to make a move because they don't want to screw up the friendship.
While they work together on a DIY show, Kane is also her protector but he wants to be so much more. When Kit comes back from her cousins funeral, she has a list, a bucket list, that her cousin wants her to complete. Kit's cousin thinks the bucket list will show her what she is missing in life. A few things on the list is, zip-lining, camp outdoors, hike in the woods, and fall in love. And a few other things that Kit and Kane are not sure about. Kane says he will help her with some of the things on the list but he can't do them all. So Kit suggest he help her find a man that would. This sets Kane off and angers him.
Will Kane give in to his feelings for Kit or will his anger destroy their friendship? Will Kit finally admit to Kane how she really feels? Will they complete the bucket list together? What happens when Kane's' brother offers to help Kit with the list?
I love a good friend to lovers story and this one was great. I was upset with Kane at times because he was a little unsure about his feelings for Kit and I just wanted to slap him upside the head. But he finally came around and got his act together before I had to attack him. As usual, Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler have another great beginning to a series that should not be missed. You will love Kit and Kane or you should, I did and can't wait for the next one. I will be about Kane's brother Kiel.
