Robin is 24 and Anne is 19. They meet they are very young children, and have always love each other, but they do not know how the other really feels. This is not a time travel book, but you need to know who Robin is and what type of person he is because of all the references in the books to him It is a great book, and as all Kurland books, I recommend this book to any and all who love to read.

I loved this book. I an imagine myself in many of the scenes. The writing is engaging
Lynn Kurland is an instant buy for me. Her stories are great and her characters are well drawn out that you experience all their trials and tribulations, despite her lack of proper love scenes. If she had included at least one love scene, I would have felt more connected with the H/H and this would have been a perfect story.
That aside, I enjoyed this story and found the secondary characters to be very interesting, especially Nicholas.

The hilarious scenes of sibling rivalry was entertaining and you feel the warmth and love amongst them. Loved how their teasing always resulted in a free-for-all fight. And really enjoyed the match-making interference of their grandmother. A great lady, that. Especially loved the scene when she did a makeover for Robin to send him wooing his lady-love. It was a lol moment.

This is Robin and Anne's story. Robin, is a great warrior and a wonderful hero whose unskilled and awkward attempts in winning Anne is endearing.
An extremely warm and entertaining story. Highly recommend this read, if you want a sweet love story.
As a fan of Lynn Kurland I couldn't wait to read If I Had You. And, as usual, I wasn't disappointed. Filled with romance, a few plot twists and her usual incredibly developed characters, I devoured it. If you're looking for hot sex don't read this book. But if you're looking for a heart-wrenching romance filled with everything that makes a romance great then If I Had You is for you. Read it - you won't be disappointed.
This is one of my favorite Kurland books. Anne has loved Robin since they were children. Robin leaves to do his knightly thing. When he returns he has no clue as to how to woo the sweet Anne. Robin loves her but makes a mess of things. It is fun seeing Robin try to win Anne . This is a wonderful warm story with great characters.
I love Lynn Kurland, can't wait to read her books and anxiously await the next installment (?). She is fantastic.
I hardly ever give 5 stars, so 4 is a very good book! This was a very sweet and engaging story. I felt compassion for the characters and wanted to read as much about them as I could. This was the second Lynn Kurland book I read. I picked it up without realizing that it was the prequel(of sorts) to the first one I read. I liked finding out the story of Robin and Anne who were both strong-willed and likeable characters. Despite their stubbornness, you liked them anyway! The story was suspenseful and interesting with a different turn at every chapter. Very enjoyable read!
Anne of Fenwyck was in love with robin piaget since she was but a pea in her father's eye.Anne missed Robin as he was away for very long with his warring.Just when she thought he would never return,Robin did indeed return to Artane and to her.He returned to find an enchanting young woman,now grown,who leaves him breathless with longing.Also,he returns to find treachery is afoot and an evil villian that awaits,trying to kill Anne and placing them and his brothers and sisters in danger.Though the past threatens their future with villians galore,Robin realizes as his brother Nicholas throws his top hat into the ring in a battle for her affections,he wants nothing more than to have her forever.If I had you my life would be complete.
